Training Coordinator
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The DRC Training Coordinator will be responsible for promoting education and consistency amongst barista staff and assisting in DRC educational platforms, leading the on-boarding and initial training for new baristas. They will also be responsible for coordinating and executing regularly scheduled training opportunities and work alongside the QC team to further develop profiles and communication consistency amongst the staff. The focus of this role is to create and facilitate training for all DRC barista staff. Promoting the skills and tools needed for day-to-day success on the job. They are responsible for coordinating opportunities to ensure the standard of DRC beverage preparation and product knowledge is executed. The DRC Training Coordinator will also act as an ambassador for public facing events in which customer education is a focus. The DRC Training Coordinate will spilt time between coordinating training needs and fulfilling public facing duties either on bar in one of our cafes or participating in customer facing education events.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
DRC Internal Education (75%)
Coordinate various platforms of training initiatives and follow up for barista staff
Assist in executing new hire orientation
Coffee basics and theory
Menu training
Barista job skills
Monitor employee success and facilitate regular check-ins, providing follow up training when
necessary
Plan and conduct routine training opportunities
Coordinate monthly LevelUp classes; existing curriculum
Develop new content sessions for LevelUp program
Update and maintain new hire training documents
Update and maintain training materials
Educate baristas on new DRC coffees and offerings
Participate in curriculum development with the education team
Coordinate with outside sources for visiting education opportunities-Attend QC and education team meetings
Maintain training bar space; clean and stock before and after trainings
Communicate QC measures and updates with retail team
Manage DRC employee education hub
Collaborate with DOR and Retail Supervisors on training needs for staff
Research and share new advancements within the industry
Barista bar shifts- roughly 1-2 per week
External Responsibilities (25%)
Partner with education team to execute public classes and community events
Participate as a representative in industry events
Public facing education events- roughly 1-2 per month
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Five plus years of specialty coffee experience
Proactive mindset, brings new ideas to the team
Problem solver
Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with many team members

COMPENSATION:
$45,000 Annualy
