SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Deeper Roots is currently looking to expand our bakery operations and looking for passionate individuals to help produce top notch pastries, cookies, brownies and other treats to stock our shops and serve our customers.The Baker position at Deeper Roots is a part time position with second shift hours necessary to complete the tasks of this position. Previous bakery/pastry experience is preferred.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, bread, cakes, etc.

  • Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.

  • Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.

  • Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized.

  • Strong communication, time and resource management.

  • Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.

  • Basic math and computer skills.

  • Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous baking experience preferred

  • Part Time availability

  • Attention to detail

  • Positive attitude

  • Second shift availability

  • Love of pastries!

SCHEDULE/HOURS:

  • Part time: 16-24 hours

  • Some weekend availability

Salary:

  • $18 / hour
