Sandwiched between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare Ranges, Ichamama wetmill is located in Othaya, Nyeri County. It is part of the larger Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society and is composed of small-scale farmers with farm holdings averaging 1 acre. The cooperative has a total of 781 farmers. The coffee is grown about 1741m above sea level. After being hand-picked from the trees, the cherries are immediately delivered to the wetmill where they are hand sorted, weighed, pulped, washed, and dried. The coffee is then delivered to the dry mill for milling, grading, and bagging. The total size of a harvest is around 493,000 KGs of cherry.
