A new twist on an old favorite. Under his dad's watchful eye, Melvin Cuy has been experimenting with processing techniques for La Armonia Hermosa coffee and really knocked it out of the park with this natural process.
La Armonia Hermosa is more than just the name of a coffee we offer every year; it is the reason we call ourselves Deeper Roots. This special coffee represents a beautiful harmony of people -producers, roasters, and coffee lovers - interconnected with one another on a journey toward deeper partnership and sustainability.
Nestled high along a fertile volcano overlooking the Antigua Valley, Santa Maria de Jesus is an idyllic landscape where some of the finest coffee in Guatemala is grown. The small, family farmers of this village have historically struggled to sustain their livelihoods by growing coffee. Through a relationship forged in 2005, we’ve been actively invested in infrastructure development, technical knowledge, and capital financing. Now, the farmers whose coffee comprises La Armonia Hermosa receive higher prices through increased quality, marketability, and longstanding relationships.
