  Les Stoneham - Director of Coffee   About a decade ago Les lost his way and became involved in coffee. His constant drive to learn and develop others¹ passions and talents shapes the culture of Deeper Roots Coffee. He has been involved in all aspects of the coffee industry from roasting, technical work, training and sourcing. In 2009 Les founded Deeper Roots Development to sustain his continued work with coffee farmers in Guatemala and further development work with coffee growers worldwide.

  Ryan Doan - Customer Relations   Ryan started working with coffee in 2009 out in Vancouver BC. Ever since, his dream job has been to work with people around the world to better their quality of life and to learn everything he could about coffee. For Ryan, life just doesn't get any better than an exquisite espresso macchiato.

  Courtney Robinson - Training   Courtney is lover of fine tasting beverages, wine, beer, and most importantly coffee! She has spent the past decade experimenting and learning about all coffee has to offer. An advocate of education and development, she has trained and competed several times in the USBC, one of her favorite experiences. Courtney is also know to hit up the karaoke floor from time to time, so be prepared for singing if you¹re ever close by.

  Adam Shaw - Lead Roaster & Green Buyer   Adam began working in coffee in 2007 just a little ways into his undergrad. Since then he's been teaming up with Les to help develop the coffee culture of Cincinnati as well as trying to marry his passions of coffee and development. Adam joined the full time staff of DRC in 2012 and is excited to bring his education and training in Engineering to the roasting, business and process development side of DRC as well as continue striving for the development of coffee farmers internationally. Adam is usually known for not being able to sit still and always finding a reason to have a cappuccino.

  Jamie Stoneham - Design   Jamie's first passion may be food and farming but with her husband and father both being coffee roasters she by default is passionate about her coffee as well. Jamie is a graduate of UC's DAAP Graphic Design program. She is also an avid supporter of local food, food education, and small farmer movements.

She developed her love for the craft working as a barista at various local shops. A passionate mind for puzzle piecing and problem solving, Clare joined the team to further nourish her curiosity about the relationships between high voltage, pressurization, and brewing coffee. As tech support her time is well spent with a wrench in one hand and coffee in another.

  Braydon Booher - Training/Education   Coffee wasn’t a part of Braydon’s life in the beginning. He couldn’t even stand the smell of it growing up. When he got a job working at Cincinnati’s Findlay market while in school for horticulture, things changed quickly and drastically. He couldn’t get enough of it. As much as he tried to go a different route, coffee wouldn’t let it happen. As a promoter of the saying, “The more you know” Braydon loves teaching people about the entire line of the coffee industry, from a seed to your cup, to brewing and espresso, to anything and everything in between. Emphasizing the work that goes into coffee before he touches it, Braydon loves to talk and drink coffee, while getting his hands dirty within all facets of the coffee industry.
