In 1958, a group of 38 farmers from the Risaralda region of Colombia founded Cooperativa de Risaralda as a way to strengthen their economic standing at a time low prices in the coffee industry. Today, it counts farms and growing organizations from throughout Risaralda among its membership. In addition to offering farmer training, milling, and export services to its members, the cooperative supports farmer families with a range of social services including subsidized education and healthcare.

This coffee is a blend of the main Risaralda lot and the lot produced by the women’s program supported by Cooperativa de Risaralda, which promotes gender equity in the cooperative through support of women's entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities for women.

This Risaralda Decaf coffee from Colombia's Cooperativa de Risaralda cooperative was decaffeinated via the natural Swiss Water method, which preserves the original flavors that the farmers behind every cup cultivate through their hard work.
